Day-by-Day Itinerary

VIP greeting at Kilimanjaro International Airport with fast-track immigration. Private transfer to a 5-star boutique lodge set on a working coffee estate outside Arusha. Arrival champagne and a spa treatment on request, followed by a curated tasting-menu dinner with wine pairings in the lodge's candle-lit dining room. Overnight in a luxury suite with a private deck overlooking the coffee fields.

Morning at leisure - pool, in-suite spa or a walk through the coffee farm with the estate owner. Private transfer to Arusha airport for your charter flight to the Serengeti (approx. 1.5 hours). Landing on a bush airstrip, begin a game drive en route to your ultra-luxury tented camp. Afternoon drive across the plains. Return to camp for sunset drinks at the fire pit, a four-course gourmet dinner and stargazing from your private veranda.

Start with a champagne sunrise game drive - the most magical hour on the plains when big cats are still active. Return to camp for a gourmet brunch. Afternoon spa treatment in your suite or an optional guided bush walk with a Maasai escort. Second game drive into the golden late-afternoon light. Bush dinner tonight under a canopy of stars, complete with lanterns, vintage wines and the crickets' symphony.

Pre-dawn pickup for a hot-air balloon flight over the Serengeti at sunrise (included in luxury package), finishing with a gourmet champagne breakfast on the plains. Midday siesta at camp. Afternoon drive focused on tracking big cats via your guide's radio network. Private sundowner atop a granite kopje. Return for a fireside dinner hosted by the camp manager with stories of the day's sightings.

Slow game drive exiting the Serengeti via the central Seronera corridor. Visit Olduvai Gorge - the 'Cradle of Mankind' - home to the earliest hominid fossils, with a private museum tour. Lunch at a clifftop location. Continue to your 5-star lodge perched on the Ngorongoro Crater rim with suites overlooking the entire caldera. Spa arrival treatment on request. Dinner in the glass-walled dining room with crater views.

Early start to descend into the crater ahead of the crowds. Private game drive across the crater floor - black rhino, giant-tusked elephant bulls, lion prides on kills, flamingo-flocked lake. Champagne picnic lunch at the hippo pool. Late-afternoon ascent. Optional in-suite couples massage at the lodge spa, then a private dinner served on your suite's heated deck with crater views.

After breakfast, transfer to Lake Manyara Airport for a scenic flight to Zanzibar via Arusha (approx. 3 hours total). Private transfer into historic Stone Town for check-in at a boutique heritage hotel. Afternoon guided walking tour - carved Zanzibari doors, sultans' palaces, the former slave market and fragrant spice shops. Sunset dhow cruise with cocktails. Seafood dinner at a rooftop restaurant overlooking the harbor.

Morning visit to a traditional spice plantation - guided tour through cloves, cardamom, cinnamon and vanilla vines, with tastings of tropical fruits straight from the tree. Transfer (approx. 1.5 hours) to a 5-star beach resort on the north or east coast. Check in to your ocean-facing villa. Afternoon on the powder-white beach or poolside. Beachside seafood dinner with your toes in the sand.

A full day to relax or explore. Optional activities: snorkeling trip to Mnemba Atoll with dolphin encounters, kitesurfing lesson, private chef beach barbecue or simply lounging poolside with cocktails. Late afternoon sunset sail aboard a traditional dhow with chilled drinks. Candlelit dinner on the beach under lanterns - the ultimate romantic finale to your journey.

Leisurely breakfast and a final swim in the Indian Ocean. Private transfer to Zanzibar International Airport (ZNZ) for your onward flight. Parting gift of Zanzibari spices, coffee and handmade soap to remember your journey.

Best Time to Visit

Plan around peak wildlife, weather and price windows.

Peak season Shoulder / good Off-season

Long Dry Season

Peak
June – October

Peak game viewing. Animals concentrate around waterholes; thinning vegetation makes spotting easy. The iconic Mara River crossings of the Great Migration occur Jul – Sep.

Calving Season

Peak
January – February

The Great Migration calves in southern Serengeti / Ndutu. Dramatic predator action and excellent weather with surprisingly low crowds.

Short Rains

Good
November – December

Brief afternoon showers, lush green landscapes and excellent birding as migrants arrive. Migration herds move south. Lower-season pricing.

Long Rains

Avoid
March – May

Heavy rainfall, muddy roads, some lodges close. Beautiful green scenery and dramatic skies, but the most challenging time for safaris. Lowest prices.
