Day-by-Day Itinerary

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport where our VIP host greets you with fresh flowers and cold towels. Private transfer (approx. 1 hour) to a boutique lodge in Arusha nestled among fragrant coffee gardens. Unwind by the pool, then join a candlelit welcome dinner paired with local wines while your personal guide walks you through the journey ahead. Overnight on half-board basis.

After a leisurely breakfast, depart southwest to Tarangire National Park (approx. 3 hours). Enter the park weaving between ancient baobabs while elephant herds amble beside the vehicle. Afternoon game drive along the Tarangire River - the park's life-giving artery - where lions, giraffes and impala gather. Check in to a romantic tented lodge on the park boundary. Private sundowner cocktails overlooking the valley, followed by a three-course candlelit dinner under the stars.

Set out at sunrise with a picnic breakfast for a full-day exploration of Tarangire. Venture into the Silale Swamps where elephant families bathe and pythons occasionally coil in the sausage trees, keeping watch for leopards draped across low branches and the unusual fringe-eared oryx. Romantic bush lunch beneath a shaded kopje. Return to the lodge for an afternoon couples' spa treatment and a private dinner served on your suite's deck.

Travel west through the Rift Valley escarpment into the cool, emerald Ngorongoro Highlands (approx. 4 hours). Stop at a clifftop viewpoint above Lake Manyara for photographs. Check in to a lodge perched on the crater rim with sweeping caldera views, then head out on an afternoon cultural visit to a Maasai boma - learning traditional dances, home-building and the warrior-age customs. A hearty highland dinner with regional wines awaits at the lodge.

Early breakfast, then descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater at dawn - a natural amphitheater that packs the Big Five into 260 sq km. Game drive across the crater floor tracking black rhino, lion prides, flamingo-fringed Lake Magadi and the legendary big-tusked elephant bulls. Picnic lunch at the hippo pool. Emerge in the late afternoon, returning to your lodge for a hot soak and a candlelit dinner for two on your private deck.

Depart after breakfast toward the endless Serengeti plains via Olduvai Gorge - the 'Cradle of Mankind' - with a short museum visit to see casts of the earliest hominid fossils. Continue into the Serengeti, scanning for cheetah and giraffe as the plains open up. Afternoon game drive en route to your luxury tented camp in the central Seronera region. Enjoy hot bucket showers in your suite and a candlelit dinner beneath acacia trees with distant lion calls for company.

Full day exploring the Serengeti's shifting landscapes - open plains, granite kopjes and the Seronera River valley, Africa's most reliable leopard habitat. Optional sunrise hot-air balloon flight (extra cost) finishing with a champagne bush breakfast. Return to camp for a late siesta, then a private bush dinner set beneath a canopy of stars, complete with a roaring fire, chilled champagne and the symphonic sounds of the African night.

Enjoy a final sunrise game drive with a packed breakfast as the Serengeti awakens - often the most productive wildlife viewing of the trip. Transfer to Seronera airstrip for a scenic bush flight back to Arusha or directly to Kilimanjaro International Airport, where our team assists with your onward check-in. Heartfelt farewells and a parting gift to remember your Tanzanian love story.

Best Time to Visit

Plan around peak wildlife, weather and price windows.

Peak season Shoulder / good Off-season

Long Dry Season

Peak
June – October

Peak game viewing. Animals concentrate around waterholes; thinning vegetation makes spotting easy. The iconic Mara River crossings of the Great Migration occur Jul – Sep.

Calving Season

Peak
January – February

The Great Migration calves in southern Serengeti / Ndutu. Dramatic predator action and excellent weather with surprisingly low crowds.

Short Rains

Good
November – December

Brief afternoon showers, lush green landscapes and excellent birding as migrants arrive. Migration herds move south. Lower-season pricing.

Long Rains

Avoid
March – May

Heavy rainfall, muddy roads, some lodges close. Beautiful green scenery and dramatic skies, but the most challenging time for safaris. Lowest prices.
